ABOUT
Songwriting has always been Anna Hudson’s bridge between chaos and peace. When emotions become too strong to keep within the confines of her mind, lyrics spill out onto the pages of her well-loved notebooks, begging to be brought to life by a voice, a guitar, and most importantly, a computer.
Raised in the perfectly small town of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Anna Hudson
draws inspiration from the vast amount of musical influences of the North Carolinian
music scene, unafraid to immerse herself in different soundscapes.
Her experience pioneering her high school band, 2am at Denny’s, initially sparked the idea of devoting her life to music full-time — an idea that she has determinedly pursued since. With the band’s sets ranging from folk-y covers of The Avett Brothers to boisterous encores of Rage Against the Machine, Hudson is well equipped to break the boundaries of sound with her artistry. Her current, self-produced works are heavily influenced by female production giants such as Imogen Heap, and she has describe her sound as “Bon Iver if he were a girl in her 20s”.
Following this passion for music to college, Hudson is now a senior at Berklee College of Music in Boston, studying production, songwriting, and music business. She currently serves as the Editor-In-Chief of the Berklee Music Business Journal, utilizing her passion for writing and academic research within the musical realm.
Hudson has been heard across many notable venues in both Winston-Salem and
Boston, such as The Ramkat’s Gas Hill Drinking Room, Rockwood Music Hall, Club
Passim, and The Loft at Berklee. With two released singles garnering over 6,500
streams combined, it is clear that Hudson’s musical career is off to a great start, and is only in its beginning stages.
Hudson is currently recording her next project, aiming to be released in early 2025.
